Selling on Amazon and Noon in the UAE and Saudi Arabia: your questions answered

The questions international sellers ask us most, grouped by topic. Can't find yours? Send it on WhatsApp.

Getting started

Do I need a UAE or Saudi company to sell on Amazon or Noon?

No. Both marketplaces accept international sellers using a company registered abroad. On the standard international route you need a VAT registration in the selling country, which we arrange.

What documents do I need?

Your home-country company licence, the owner's passport or ID, an email address, a phone number and a payout account (bank, Payoneer or Lian Lian). We handle VAT and marketplace paperwork.

How fast can I go live?

Typically two to three weeks after complete documents, plus the time to ship your stock to the UAE or Saudi Arabia.

Which countries can my company be from?

Our clients come from more than 15 countries, including the UK, USA, Canada, China, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Korea, Lebanon and the Philippines.

VAT

Is VAT registration mandatory?

For the standard international seller route on Noon, yes: a VAT certificate from the selling country is required. Non-resident businesses making taxable supplies in the UAE or Saudi Arabia must register regardless of turnover.

What are the VAT rates?

5% in the UAE and 15% in Saudi Arabia.

Who files my VAT returns?

We can file them for you as part of a monthly plan, using your marketplace sales reports.

Payments & logistics

How do I get paid?

International Noon sellers are paid through Payoneer or Lian Lian. Amazon pays to a supported bank or payment account in your company's name.

Who ships my products to the Gulf?

You ship from your supplier with a freight forwarder; we plan the inbound to Amazon FBA or Fulfilled by Noon, labelling and customs paperwork, and can introduce forwarders.

Do my products need certificates?

Some do. Electrical products in Saudi Arabia need SASO / SABER certificates; chemicals need safety data sheets; cosmetics and food have their own rules. We check this before you ship.

Working with Noon Guru

How much do you charge?

Account management starts from USD 200 a month for one marketplace and USD 300 for Noon and Amazon together (up to 10 SKUs), per country, rising by SKU count. The UAE and Saudi Arabia together cost double. VAT registration is USD 250 for the UAE and USD 300 for Saudi Arabia; account setup is quoted as a fixed fee after a document check. We do not take a commission on your sales.

Is there a minimum contract?

Plans run month to month after an initial period agreed in your proposal, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Where is your team based?

In the UK, Dubai and Pakistan. We manage Saudi accounts remotely; we do not have staff based in Saudi Arabia.

Are you an official Amazon or Noon partner?

No. Noon Guru is an independent agency and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Amazon, noon, Namshi or Carrefour.

Do you work with Carrefour, Namshi, Tradeling and Shopify too?

Yes. We set up and manage Carrefour UAE and KSA, Namshi for fashion and beauty brands, Tradeling for B2B wholesale, and Shopify stores for the Gulf, alongside Amazon and Noon.
